Monday, September 22

Make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son.—Matt. 28:19.

Did Jesus want others to use his Father’s personal name? Certainly. Some pious religious leaders of the day may have held that God’s name was too sacred to pronounce, but Jesus never allowed such unscriptural traditions to prevent him from honoring his Father’s name. Consider the time when he cured a demonized man in the region of the Gerasenes. The people became fearful and begged Jesus to leave, so he did not stay in that region. (Mark 5:16, 17) Still, Jesus wanted Jehovah’s name to be known there. So he commissioned the man he had cured to tell people, not what Jesus had done, but what Jehovah had done. (Mark 5:19) He wants the same today—that we make his Father’s name known throughout the whole world! (Matt. 24:14;28:20) When we do our part, we please our King, Jesus. w24.02 10 ¶10

Jesus never hid his Father’s name — he pushed it forward, even when others flinched. He told the cured man, “Tell what Jehovah did,” not “what I did.” That’s still the mission: make Jehovah’s name known, and in doing so, please the King himself.

*Celebration of Christ's Death and the Equinox* The Jews celebrated Passover on the 14th of Nisan, the first month of the Jewish calendar. They based their observance on the spring equinox. The sun passes through the imaginary equator, making each day 12 hours long and 12 hours long. When this occurs, the Jews would pay attention to the appearance of the first New Moon from that moment. When the New Moon appeared, it was the first of Nisan. From there, they counted another 13 days, reaching the 14th of Nisan. So the organization pays attention to the *northern (northern) spring equinox.* It usually occurs on March 21st. The first New Moon appears and is counted 13 days forward, the actual date of the Celebration of Christ's death, after sunset. September 22nd marks an important date related to Jehovah's purpose, which at this time we still do not know. Another very important date is the afternoon of October 4th/5th, BIRTH OF THE KINGDOM. (Annual Meeting) September 22nd marks the beginning of the Agricula year, a secular year of the biblical Israelite calendar. From the creation of Adam. And the festival of Booths (recollection).

It’s actually the Autumn equinox today, the day when night and day are off equal length, the earth starts to tilt and we head into winter here in the northern hemisphere…

I live next to the sea and the pull off the moon today results in extremely low and high tides, it’s lovely to watch the different seasons and settle into them… although to be fair I’m not sure that I’m ever ready for a very cold winter! 🥶

Yes, today is the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. As I discussed the 2 Equinoxes, my comment was a bit confusing.
