This is according to the eternal purpose that he formed in connection with the Christ, Jesus our Lord.—Eph. 3:11.

Jehovah has progressively revealed his “eternal purpose” in the Bible. One way or another, he always succeeds because he “has made everything work for his purpose.” (Prov. 16:4) And the results of what Jehovah does will endure forever. What is Jehovah’s purpose, and what adjustments has he made in order to accomplish it? God told the first humans what his purpose was for them. They were to “be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection . . . every living creature” on earth. (Gen. 1:28) When Adam and Eve rebelled, causing sin to enter the human family, Jehovah’s purpose was not thwarted. He adjusted the way it would be achieved. Immediately, he determined to set up a Kingdom in heaven that would accomplish his original purpose for mankind and the earth.—Matt. 25:34. w23.10 20 ¶6-7

What struck me as I read those thoughts is just how steady Jehovah really is. When you step back and look at how His purpose unfolds through Scripture, you start to feel that calm assurance settle in — the kind that reminds you He’s never scrambling, never improvising. Even when humans complicated things, Jehovah simply adjusted the path, not the destination. That kind of consistency does something to your heart if you sit with it for a moment.

Another thing that stands out is how much clarity it gives us. The world can feel loud and confused, but when you trace Jehovah’s purpose from Eden to the Kingdom, the noise fades a bit. You realize He’s been building toward something beautiful the whole time. That steadiness helps us stay grounded when everything around us feels unsettled.

And honestly, there’s a personal reminder tucked in there too. If Jehovah holds firmly to His purpose, then it makes sense for us to hold firmly to Him. Not out of pressure, but because we want to align ourselves with the One who never lets His people drift out of view. Letting that truth sink in has a way of giving you both peace and direction at the same time.
