“When the world is breaking — why your heart can still have hope”

Recommended Posts

Imagine the following scene…

It is late in the evening.

Outside it is raining…
not heavily… but steadily…
the kind of rain that makes everything quiet.

In a small apartment, a man is sitting alone at a table.

The light is dim…
his phone is lying in front of him…

and again and again he looks at it.

No message.

No call.

His shoulders are lowered…
his eyes are tired…

and slowly… very slowly…

a tear runs down his face.

He quickly wipes it away…

as if no one is allowed to see it.

He looks out the window…
into the darkness…

and quietly whispers:

“I don’t know how much longer I can do this…”

Dear brothers and sisters…

We may not know this man.

But his feeling…

many know it.

Because we live in a time…

in which people function outwardly…

but struggle inwardly.

You get up in the morning…
go to work…
take care of your responsibilities…

maybe even smile…

But in the heart…

there is a burden.

And sometimes you ask yourself:

“What is actually going on with this world…?”

Everywhere you look, you see problems…

People lose their jobs…
others no longer know how to provide for their families…

Governments seem helpless…
decisions don’t bring real solutions…

Debts grow…
worries increase…

Conversations often lead nowhere…
negotiations remain without results…

And the more you look…

the more a feeling of chaos arises.

But what perhaps hurts the most…

is not what happens on the outside…

but what happens on the inside.

Love decreases…

Patience disappears…

Respect is lost…

People become harder…
colder…
more indifferent…

On the road there is a lack of consideration…
in daily life a lack of understanding…

and even in dealing with one another…

there is often no real listening.

People look at each other…

but no longer truly see one another.

And maybe you have thought:

“It wasn’t like this before…”

And somewhere deep in the heart…

this feeling arises:

This world…

is out of balance.

The Bible describes this time exactly.

In 2 Timothy 3:1 it says:

“In the last days critical times will be here that are hard to deal with.”

Not just difficult…

but hard to endure.

Maybe you know this feeling…

You wake up in the morning…

and you are tired.

Not physically…

but inside.

As if your heart is carrying more
than it was meant to carry.

Imagine your heart like a backpack…

At first it is light.

But then a worry is added…
a disappointment…
a problem…

And you put everything inside.

Day after day.

And at some point…

you try to stand up…

and you realize:

“This is too heavy…”

And still…

you keep going.

You function…
you smile…
you maybe say:

“I’m fine.”

But inside…

it’s not fine.

Why is everything becoming so intense?

Why does so much feel heavier today than before?

The Bible gives a clear answer.

In Revelation 12:12 it says:

“The Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”

That explains why everything increases.

Why problems feel bigger…

why people react more extremely…

why everything escalates faster.

It is as if a storm is getting stronger…

just before it ends.

Maybe you have experienced this…

A storm builds…

the wind becomes stronger…
the rain heavier…

And at that moment you think:

“This won’t hold…”

But often that is exactly the point…

when the storm is closest to ending.

But now something very important…

With all these global developments…

Jehovah does not forget you.

Psalm 34:19 says:

“Many are the hardships of the righteous one…”

Jehovah does not say:

“You will have no problems.”

He says:

“I see your problems.”

And Psalm 56:8 goes even further:

“You keep track of my tears.”

Imagine that…

Jehovah does not just see that you cry…

He remembers every single tear.

None is too small.

None is insignificant.

There are tears…

that no one sees.

Not the ones that fall in public…

but the ones that come at night…

when everything is quiet.

Maybe you have experienced moments like that…

When you are alone…

and your thoughts become loud…

And a tear comes…

and you think:

“No one understands this…”

But Jehovah understands it.

He was there.

Quiet…
loving…
attentive.

Isaiah 41:10 says:

“I will really hold on to you.”

Not just watch…

not just observe from a distance…

Hold on to you.

Imagine a small child…

It wakes up at night…

Everything is dark…

quiet…

frightening.

It softly calls:

“Mom?”

No answer.

The fear grows…

tears come…

Then the door opens…

and a hand takes it.

The room is still dark…

But the heart becomes calm.

Why?

Because it is no longer alone.

That is how Jehovah is.

The storm may still be there…

but you are not alone.

And that gives hope.

Not a vague hope…

but a real one.

Isaiah 65:17 says:

“I am creating new heavens and a new earth…”

A world…

where no one says:

“I can’t go on…”

A world…

where no one cries at night anymore.

A world…

where your heart finally feels light.

Imagine…

all the burden you carry today…

would simply be gone.

No more worries…

no more fear…

no more pain.

Only peace.

And that is not a dream.

That is a promise.

Maybe you feel tired sometimes…

overwhelmed…

invisible…

Maybe you have fought…

endured…

and no one saw it.

But Jehovah saw it.

Every moment.

Every struggle.

Every tear.

And he says to you:

“Hold on just a little longer.”

This world may become more difficult…

But Jehovah’s closeness will become stronger for you.

Maybe…

tonight…

when you are alone…

just say:

“Jehovah… I am tired.”

And then…

let him hold you.

Yes…

this world is hard.

But you don’t have to carry it alone.

Jehovah sees you.
Jehovah understands you.
Jehovah holds you.

And soon…

there will be no more tears.

Until then…

he carries you…

even when you think you are walking alone.
