NWS Territory Self-Assign feature

Recommended Posts

The territory servant has to manually select up to 15 territories to be listed under "Available to Self-Assign".

So you get to choose which territories are listed, and you do so under the assignment tab on the territories you select.

Thank you for responding! I understand that, but since the areas are assigned to each territory, is it possible to add "area" to the request so they can be auto assigned a territory in a specific area?

Thanks again!

The Self-Assign territories are whatever you choose and the publisher selects the one they want manually from a list (which will show the area it is in).
Here is what it looks like in our NW Publisher.

For getting it ready to Self-Assign, this is what the assignment screen looks like in NW Scheduler:Screenshot2026-06-25075556.thumb.png.e95aa126aaab7efb7ed1cd2fbb0a43fa.png

There is no auto assign feature in NWS/P; but, under requests, publishers can put in a note requesting the area, but it is all manually assigned still.

Does that answer your question?

That is very helpful, thank you so much! Our only fear is that the "less desirable" territories will sit in the bank of available territories and not get checked out. Whereas if they were manually assigned, we could keep the territories worked consistently. Is that an issue for anyone else currently using the auto assigned?
