  3. I'm planning to attend the district convention in the UK and I already checked our website (jw.org) but I don't show any. If anyone can give me any specific location and specific dates, that would be greatly appreciated! Agape! Daynie
  4. “Although the fig tree itself may not blossom, and there “may be no yield on the vines; the work of the olive tree may actually turn out a failure, and the terraces themselves may actually produce no food; the flock may actually be severed from the pen, and there may be no herd in the enclosures; Yet, as for me, I will exult in Jehovah himself; I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.” - Hab. 3:17, 18

How I Found the Truth

  • How I found the Truth
A brother from Samoa once knocked at our door, my mother (single mother, my father left us long time ago) who raised me and my two sisters let him in, in short, my mom allowed for us to have a bible study. Since then, a sister consistently visited us every Saturday.

Raised in a devout Catholic family, I am more familiar with the man made creeds more than the Bible. I grew up believing that the man made images have powers. I bow down to them. I touch them. I talk to them. I cry to them. The only scripture I know word per word was the Lord's prayer but was clueless to what it truly meant. With my bible teacher's help, I learned that Jesus was talking about God's kingdom, a God whose name is Jehovah. So strange, that a word written nearly 7000 times in the bible was never even taught in our previous church. That whole confusing trinity belief was unraveled in just a handful of scriptures that Jehovah God is one God. Not a triune. I was happy to know that I will not burn forever in a lake of sulphur for disobedience. To a kid who grew up in the Catholic religion, you don't know what a relief that was. No ghosts either, the idea of the dead plotting to hurt me was also the fuel for some very scary mental imagery as a kid.

Above all, it made sense why I don't want to die. I learned life everlasting is embedded in my heart. I learned that God has a purpose for humans, our obedience merits a life without fear, without tears or death in an earthly paradise. Me, my two sisters and my mother finally dedicated our lives to Jehovah after almost 7 years of study. Since then, I've been in the truth for 13years. These truths were like a light in my life. I cannot thank Jehovah enough for allowing me to come to know him and using people who manifested his fine qualities. With that, I know of no better way to show my appreciation than to invite others to draw close to him as well, by means of my ministry.
