  1. Linguists commend Jehovah’s Witnesses for premier role in documenting, preserving African indigenous languages The Linguistics Association of Nigeria has commended Jehovah’s Witnesses for documenting Nigerian indigenous languages. Prof Harrison Adeniyi, Chair of the organizing committee, gave the commendation at the recently-concluded 34th Annual Conference hosted in Lokoja, Kogi State. https://thecitizenng.com/linguists-commend-jehovahs-witnesses-for-premier-role-in-documenting-preserving-african-indigenous-languages/
  2. I just wanted to share this here. Please moderators could kindly move it to where appropriate if not here.
  3. SOURCE: http://www.pulse.ng/religion/jehovahs-witness-5-interesting-ways-this-church-differs-from-others-id6902642.html The Nigerian News article mentioned these 5 points that make us different from other churches: Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus is not part of the Trinity This church believes that Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom in heaven This church abstains from blood transfusions Religious titles have no place in this church Jehovah Witnesses do not believe in Hellfire The article is brief but sums us up pretty well. On a side note, referring to point 4, this is why I don't like the fact that when speakers are announced at assemblies, the chairman always says "who is serving as an elder in xxx congregation" as that makes us appear like the other churches placing emphasis on titles, but that's just my viewpoint.

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
