The Daily Mail (UK) reported that 3 million diaries were printed for children aged between 12 and 16 that contained information on subjects such as costs of mobile phones and "global warming" and listed Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Chinese festivals as other non-religious holidays such as EU Day (9 May) but omitted all of Christendom's including Easter, Lent and Christmas.

It may be a mistake, but to omit every single holiday and festival of just one religion is a rather unusual omission - you would expect some holidays to be listed and some not as well as omissions of other religions.

EU sends out £4.4m diaries to schools which list Muslim, Chinese and Hindu holidays... but miss out Christmas and Easter

By ALLAN HALL

The European Union has sent millions of diaries to schools which list the dates of Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and Chinese festivals - but omit any mention of Christian celebrations.

In an extraordinary move, three million 2011 notebooks were printed at a cost of £4.4million to the taxpayer. Around 350,000 of the diaries have already been shipped to schools in the UK alone.

There is no record for Christmas, Easter or Lent - despite bureaucrats carefully listing the EU’s self-styled ‘Europe Day’ on May 9.

 Wow! That is really interesting. Look out, man of lawlessness!

What rather surprised me is that Jewish holidays are still in the book - at the moment levels of antisemitism are really high in Europe even with some of the government people. It's so high in some countries that Orthodox and Ultra Orthodox Jews have to remove their yarmulkes and cover up any other sign that they are Jewish or they get reactions ranging from harassment to beatings.
