Generally it’s a good idea to eat healthy fats, and increase the HDL vs. LDL level in the body. How much Omega 6‘s (which include both unhealthy and healthy fats, such as trans fats, fast foods, snacks) should be weighed in comparison to Omega 3‘s in the diet. The liver can only process so many preservatives and chemicals out of the system. Staying well-hydrated is good. The concern is the ratio of omega-6 fatty acids to omega-3 fatty acids more than the amount of omega-6 fats being consumed in the diet. Recommended daily intake of essential fatty acids on average for adults: Omega-3 fatty acids – 1.5 grams/day Omega-6 fatty acids – 14 grams/day Ask your doctor for a blood test to measure your red blood cells. If the ratio Omega-6 (total) / Omega-3 (total) is higher than 10, your body is in a state of inflammation. Ideally your ratio should be below 3 to reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases. The Mediterranean diet has a healthy balance of both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids focusing on fish, vegetables, olive oil, garlic and red wine. https://www.live-young.com/blog/surprising-omega-6-foods-to-avoid/

I can‘t speak for theocratic uses of AI, but I really wish I had AI when I was in school. There were some things I just didn‘t grasp when I was younger, and AI would have been great to explain and break things down literally to a kids level, that to me, were complicated in my mind back then. Perhaps I‘d even be able to speak French today if I had had the tool as a tutor. For what I am learning and researching now, I am so glad I can use AI for anatomy, and learning and diagnosing diseases, and instead of getting unclear answers from teachers or getting explanations from different people. I once heard a German podcast between two doctors who admitted that they are happy to use the tool to do a better job and make proper diagnosis of patients, instead of trying to formulate essentially guesses at times, or missing something really important. AI doesn‘t replace how humans think vs. I see it as putting pieces of a puzzle more clearly together. Also, for some complicated sicknesses that a regional doctor may have never heard of before, AI can help in pinpointing the problem. Not to mention, lots of companies today use AI, and I know people who use it for work purposes, which has saved costs and time. Or like sis Tronora said in utilizing her time more efficiently.

Actually my experience for educational purposes has been the opposite. Depending on your setting. Mine is quite helpful and friendly. I only use her to understand complex biological, physiological systems, and we discuss it until I get it right. 😆 The danger of sizing up peoples comments based on how persons express themselves is a way to start imputing distrust or wrong motives, or not seeing a value in a talk/comments for supposedly or not supposedly using AI.

THE NEED To Face Reality
Amygdala replied to Timl1980's topic in Encouragement for the Worldwide Brotherhood
Lovely comments brother Tim. Your honesty is refreshing and you echo sentiments as you can see that others can identify with. Reminds me of the apostle Paul and all the struggles he faced. When he wished to do what is right, due to the empowering power of sin, couldn‘t. Also his words in 2 Cor. 11 starting in verse 22 describing all of his obstacles, then says in verse 29: “Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is stumbled, and I am not incensed?“ Those are real, raw human emotions. Although written so long ago, his words provides a kind of solace for those times when we are weak or broken down, but with Jehovah’s help, are not completely weakened down without a way out. But just as we know we face those moments, so does Satan. Satan uses our weaknesses, our failures, and then on top of that, uses someone‘s unkind words or actions to bring us down. Paul clearly felt that way, too. And Satan looks around in the congregation to use a person’s weaknesses, feelings, situations, people, words, to bring someone down to a very low point…exactly the same way as he did with Jesus. How comforting to know a person is not alone when dealing with trials of various sorts. Jehovah always gives out his loving, mighty hand of support (1 Peter 5:6,7), so anything that is not kosher and happening to someone, will, in due time, be better with Jehovah‘s help. The injustices Jesus and the apostle Paul endured is evidence of that. They kept enduring in their ministry and love for God, which he gave them in return to continue despite severe trials. -
Hello dear brother Neil, that is definitely an interesting question. I am not a wine expert, as I also rarely drink and feel similarly with certain wines, but I can perhaps just share with you a brief word of caution. Wine maybe good for perhaps akute infections, such as bacterial (typhoid) or perhaps even viral or parasitic infections as you described above. But for anyone suffering for a time with some kind of stomach condition on a chronically ill basis, wine would be contraindicated. Why is that? Wine would increase acid production in the stomach. So if someone suffers with stomach ulcers, acid reflex, gastritis, takes medication, has divertikels, morbus crohn, colitus, or some kind of stomach mucous inflammation, alcohol of any kind could make those conditions worse. Alcohol is acidy, contains histamine, and will increase stomach acid production, so has contraindication effects. If you are suffering from stomach issues, best is to seek out a doctor and get tested for any infections, and if none, then to get to the underlying reason for it. Even sometimes healthy people can develop a problem with FODMAP, and need to avoid certain foods for a time, but then can resume after the stomach settles again. If you are living in the US, perhaps a functional doctor can help with diagnosis, and an experienced naturopath can assist with natural remedies. Get better soon.

That is not the point. Even spiritually mature ones need to reassess their decisions through sometimes honest opinion. If someone dismissed some good advice, then it is an indication of being too proud, especially if the majority show through Bible principles reasons for yielding. If in your area someone was troubled by it, it might not just be a matter of personal taste and diversity in your area. Or if you feel you were being misjudged by that person, and these things are totally acceptable in your area, then instead of defending yourself to someone, ask why that person feels that way. Educate or help them to see why you find it acceptable, and why you, in good conscience, don’t find it a problem. Don’t let this cause a rift or start one between you and the person. But seeking advice or seeking confirmation about our decisions are two different things. If someone is seeking confirmation, you may or may not find it. The upcoming Watchtower for this weekend shows reasons why good advice is sometime warranted, even welcomed, especially when it has to do with matters of peace. In the end we need to stand behind our own decisions. https://www.jw.org/finder?srcid=jwlshare&wtlocale=E&prefer=lang&docid=2025480

Sister Rachel, I love your hairstyle! If you are concerned about what others are saying about your nose ring, then ask a mature sister in your area about it. If she says it’s fine and acceptable where you live, great, but if she makes some suggestions, please stew on them and not defend yourself automatically. As you rightly quoted from the Bible, no one can say they are so strong and need to be careful from a fall. So this is where all of us are willing to do self-examination and be flexible as to our appearance. Having others opinions is not wrong in itself, and even beneficial. Prov.11:14 It is not about how beautiful or not a look or style appears, but rather how we represent ourselves as God‘s ministers in the context of what is culturally acceptable in our area. This is just what many brothers and sisters here are saying. No one is imposing his or her standards on you, nor making judgments, except to say, what is culturally acceptable in your local area as to modest dress and grooming should be followed. And if it goes against your or my personal wishes, are we willing to be flexible and adjust, or insist on our rights? Having the bigger picture in mind can help, meditating on bible principles (which includes understanding Jehovah‘s view, the happy God), can help you in good conscience make your decisions without the need to defend yourself.

I am with the others here about praying. But like Jacob really wanting something from Jehovah, pray specifically for what you and your husband exactly need, distance, price so that you can continue in your assignments. Maybe as sister Carol above said, you may be able to purchase the property. Sometimes these things also come last minute, but you never know how Jehovah solves a problem.

This text helps us to appreciate as sinners, it may be easy to be overcome by temptation unless we remember why we dedicated ourselves to Jehovah in the first place. The WT reference for the text sights a couple of examples, such as when one is tempted to flirt with another person‘s mate, or if one accepts employment that would interfere with his regular attendance at meetings. By remembering and focusing on our personal dedication with Jehovah, whenever different tests of faith come up as the day‘s text says: “you will not need to spend time debating what to do.“

It‘s possible to get ears or nose rings as clip-ons, too. Actually fairly easy to get them online. I have a couple of clip-ons for my ears that I use on occasion, but generally not for meetings or assemblies. I don‘t see sisters wearing them around here, except maybe for cultural reasons, so I wouldn‘t want to start. After my daughter agreed to get her ears pierced this past summer (I always wanted her to make the decision for herself), we went to a professional studio, where the standard is now to put a needle through the ear. I was expecting an earring gun, as was used when I was 12. But this seems to be a better, cleaner technique. After watching her go through it, though, I decided I like the way my ears are at the moment. Not a fan of even temporary pain. 😅

50 characteristics of Jehovah

Loyal - Psalm 136:1 , Rewarder - Hebrews 11:6. Two nice WT study articles based on those 2 traits. So hard to pick one. -
GB 2025 Update #4
Amygdala replied to Josue Roman's topic in JW.org Press Releases & JW's in the News
The subject about celebrations is in the Enjoy Life Study book, lesson 44. AFAI, no recent updates to the book has been made. Lesson 44 addresses celebrations, such as christmas and birthdays. Although touching on birthdays, a key box is highlighted in the lesson, reasoning on the principles behind why we don‘t celebrate certain events. Is this the point about the GB update? The GB update was only about toasting. Should the subject of holidays come up later makes sense, otherwise arousing speculation and making wild guesses as to celebrating birthdays is not the point of the recent update. What is written about celebrations general is currently is the link below, and not to forget the FAQ page on our website. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102021244 -
GB 2025 Update #4
Amygdala replied to Josue Roman's topic in JW.org Press Releases & JW's in the News
Yes so true. Tonight I covered with a bible student lesson 14 in the ELF book about How Can Our Worship Be Pleasing to God. In para.4, the scripture to read was in Psalm 106:35, 36: “But they mingled with the nations and adopted their ways. They kept serving their idols, and these became a snare to them.“ We discussed idols, but also how the world exerts pressure to conform and promote disrespect for God and simply ignore what the Bible has to say. This scripture really sunk down with my bible student, particularly the last part. She actually took a pad of paper, wrote down the scripture and added her personal thoughts on it. Jehovah wants us to survive living in this world, but doesn‘t mean we have to be like the world. Then there is the subtle danger of turning something into something normal and acceptable from something that in reality is really offensive to Jehovah -

GB 2025 Update #4
Amygdala replied to Josue Roman's topic in JW.org Press Releases & JW's in the News
Just me, but it would seem strange if at a Witness couple wedding a toast was made to the bride and groom. Whereas if I was at a wedding from worldly relatives, and some decide to toast and see how I react, I would show my support in some way. Every situation is different. Some may reason it‘s the same, but in conscience matters different factors have to be taken into account. This week‘s WT study para.3, the footnote quoted the article on Making Decisions that Honor God, from the April 15, 2011 WT. One of the points listed on there was others can‘t make personal decisions for us. So where training and getting God‘s commands, thoughts and principles on matters are so important. Especially in the area of should I or shouldn‘t I? -
GB 2025 Update #4
Amygdala replied to Josue Roman's topic in JW.org Press Releases & JW's in the News
I am waiting to see the update with my family, but that is quite some news. 🥂 I remember a coworker in Canada giving me a hard time at my farewell lunch at a restaurant just before leaving for Germany. He tried to explain to me the origins of toasting - something to do with the Irish people. I can’t remember what he tried to reason, He was a bit of a troublemaker at work, though. My thoughts now, even though it isn’t the reason, it will certainly make us more incognito during the great tribulation, just like the beards and slacks for sisters. Every little thing helps! 😎 -

Yep. Just parts of home. Nice to read. -
Sometimes a person can get internal bleeding - hemmorhagic diathesis - from different sources that can spiral into various forms of internal injury. Wherher taking meds prolonged impacting the ability to blood clot, or vasculare disease, or a host of other reasons. The processes can impact organ function such as the heart, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, GI tract, nervous system, to name just a few. Once one or more of these organs are affected, it could lead to impaired function, impaired function to organ inflammation, and then to injury. A bleeding outside of the organ tissues can result in hemorrhagic diathese throughout the body. This could lead to all sorts of pain being triggered by the pain receptors in the body. Whatever the cause of such internal injuries and the resulting consequences on a pathological level, or mentally will be a thing of the past. Humans will no longer have access to the meds, chemicals or foods that disrupt our bodies and it’s proper and safe functions, including filtering, cleaning, energizing or nourishing and detox. We are wonderfully made.
