Ken's Achievements

  1. On October 7, 2023, at the annual meeting of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, the following exciting announcement was made. Beginning November 1, 2023, congregation publishers will no longer be asked to report the amount of time they spend in the ministry. Nor will publishers be asked to report their placements, the videos they show, or return visits. Instead, the field service report will simply have a box that allows each publisher to indicate that he or she shared in any form of the ministry during the month. There will be one more box where publishers can report the number of different Bible studies they conduct. Missionaries, circuit overseers and their wives, special pioneers, regular pioneers, and auxiliary pioneers will continue to report the number of hours they spend in the ministry, along with the number of different Bible studies they conduct. Further information about this adjustment will be provided to all congregations in the coming weeks.
  2. That is wonderful! It is thrilling to see young ones reach out to do as much as they can in Jehovah's service. The experience your daughter will gain at quick builds and by going to places like Belize to help out is priceless. Plus it helps her draw closer to Jehovah.
  3. There is always great joy to be had at a build. If you go to as many of them as you can and share your joy with your daughter; you will help her to develop the desire to never miss a new build or remodel. A build is one of the the best places to get to know your brothers and sisters. Plus you be trained in a skill while at the same time you get to enjoy great food.
  4. Wow that is too funny. Brother Percy was a missionary in Japan after world war II. He was giving a talk at a convention and he had not mastered the Japanese language at that time. He was discussing John 21:17 Where Jesus told Peter to "Feed My Sheep" Brother Percy said and I quote: "Jesus told peter Eat my Sheep." He said he knew something was wrong because he saw jaws drop and eyebrows shoot up. So he paused and said it again Eat my Sheep. More jaws dropped and more eyebrows went up and then someone close by said You are using the wrong verb. Then he restated it correctly. Too funny.
  5. Question: is this actually from a District Convention? I fell for that brother.
  6. We have several projects in the works. Rebuild in Macon, Georgia next month and several others for our circuit in the works. I encourage you to go to each project you can and get your children involved when they are old enough. There is nothing like it.
  7. Dead crow mystery solved They found over 200 dead crows near Topeka, KS. recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. They had a Bird Pathologist examine the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, he confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu. However, he determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, & only 2% were killed... by an impact with a car. Kansas then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine the cause of the disproportionate percentages for truck kills versus car kills. The Ornithological Behaviorist determined the cause in short order: When crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree, to warn of impending danger. His conclusion was that, while all the lookout crows could say "Cah", none could say "Truck."
  8. I don't know if this has been posted yet but... This group says the world ends June 30th! http://articles.cnn.com/2007-02-16/us/miami.preacher_1_cult-leader-followers-tattoo?_s=PM:US http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/324201#ixzz1v2xw0Nlx Miami-based 666 tattoo cult says world will end on June 30
