(CNN) -- "Jane" allowed her ex-boyfriend to take her naked photograph because, he assured her, it would be for his eyes only. After their breakup, the man betrayed her trust.

Criminal law should have a role in deterring and punishing revenge porn. It's not new that certain types of privacy invasions are crimes. Many states prohibit the non-consensual taking of sexually explicit images -- the disclosure of someone's naked images should be criminalized as well.

But in all but one state, New Jersey, turning people into objects of pornography without their permission is legal. A single post, however, can go viral and ruin someone's life.

New Jersey is the only state to make it a felony to disclose a person's nude or partially nude images without that person's consent.

compare pg 4 of Nov Awake!:

˙ "Sometimes a boy will mass forward an explicit photo of a girl either to entertain his friends or to retaliate

      after a breakup."

another magazine topic ties in nicely with current events (Aug WT connects here too)...
... and one more thing we are 'set free' from  :)

At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion,

and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening..." ~ Malachi 3:16
