During a special meeting held on October 5, 2013, Jehovah’s Witnesses announced the release of a revised English edition of theNew World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. The current New World Bible Translation Committee responded to changes in modern language by reflecting these in the text and clarifying certain Biblical expressions, enhancing readability and understanding. Based on further examination of the Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient manuscripts, this revision also includes six additional occurrences of the divine name: Judges 19:18; 1 Samuel 2:25; 6:3; 10:26; 23:14; 23:16.
