Reinstatment of nursing license/OKC area meet-up

Wow. Am I uptight or what? I have started a 4 month refresher course to get my nursing license reinstated. When I was dx'ed with my brain tumor in 2005 I did not ever think I would be able to do it again. Besides my husbands business was doing very well and I was so sick my focus was not on renewing my license. How things change. Now I need to have good insurance and I can have that by returning to work. It's really not an option.

But this online program is just about to kick my bottom. I find it so difficult to use Windows 8 to open my course. I must first signin on the schools website--psssword protected, then open up a link to the nursing board to read case scenerios, then maybe open another link to view a video demonstration then open a word document to write up the discussion. I keep closing out my sites then having to reopen them (again sign-in password protected). I have been in a heap of slobbering tears more than I want to admit. I feel so frustrated with all this technology I wonder if I will make it. But I have to. I have already paid the $2000.00 NON REFUNDABLE money for the course. I chose to do this since I have not worked as a nurse since 2005. Also I did not want to sit for the boards again. LOL.

Anyway, I will have to drive about 120 miles each way when I do the clinicals or have to go on campus...I will need to stay in a motel since it will be 12 hr shifts and would be more expensive to drive it than to stay over.

So it looks like I will be spending a lot of time in Oklahoma City/Norman area for the next four months.

Anyone in the area that might want to meet up?
