T-Mobile ~ VERY Agressive!

   I have been continuing my research(my spreadsheet) and I am now leaning towards Tracfone. That way I can get some data each month without paying Republic Wireless $25 a month.

 

   While Tracfone gives modest minutes each month(depending on plan) their minutes and data do roll over every month so I can save them for heavier usage months like when traveling to assemblies and conventions. I always get lost(yeah that starts as soon as I leave my own neighborhood) so live turn by turn access would be great.

I did, I did!

For my drive around the US my son sorted me with a 'refurbished' LG phone and a deal through PagePlus, it cost $39.95 a month with no contract, it gave unlimited calls and 1024mb of data.

BUT... I had to watch the source of the signal. When it was with the right provider (I've forgotten the detail) the calls were free, but if it sourced signal from another provider, which it would do, it ate up my credit at an alarming rate.

For my previous trip I did have a Verizon phone and it had signal just everywhere, so I'm not inclined to believe that this PagePlus phone was through Verizon as their primary towers.
