Interesting read Trina, thank you for sharing.

The world of commerce and distribution, and therefore the corresponding facilities has been changed forever by the advent of the internet.

Whereas once there was massive demand for paper publications thus keeping raw material prices low, the industry has largely migrated online, putting paper mills out of business and allowing the surviving suppliers to increase their prices.

As this trend continues, the price differential between the physical and virtual will increase making printing prohibitively expensive, and the ubiquitous nature of ereaders will render paper publications all but obsolete, with advertising supported periodicals proving the exception.

Not a guaranteed outcome, just my view of the industry and one of many reasons why organisations may be looking to be more appropriately located.
