Car crash - don't save on the kid' car seats!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We just had a car accident 6 days ago - wife, two kids and myself. An older lady didn't see us waiting in line behind other cars and just smashed into us.

Kids are all right, we elderly folks just have whiplash, which is unfun.

What I wanted to say: don't go cheap on the car seats! My wife did tons of homework on safety issues and shopped around, and once you have an accident and think: o no! The kids! You are relieved beyond relief that you didn't buy the cheapest ones, because what are the odds, right? It happens fast and quick, unexpectedly.

Read all the safety tests and yes, better ones cost more, but it's worth it!

That's my word of wisdom for the day, take care!

Good advice David . We have strict rules in Canada they have to be approved by the Govt. When a mother takes her baby home from the hospital they will not allow you to leave without a certified car seat.

It is our responsibility from Jehovah to get the best care for the safety of our family !

My daughter did loads of research before buying one, her and her husband bought a isofix rear facing one....at 18 months old he is still rear facing and won't change for a little while yet, good child and baby seats can be a matter of life or death. Travelling without a belt for adults or children is illegal here and incur a on the spot fine.

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.
