SPIRITUAL PICKER UPPERS Don't let your worries get the best of you; remember, Moses started out as a basket case.

 

People are funny; they want the front of the bus, the middle of the road, and the back row of the Kingdom Hall

 

Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever.

 

Don't gripe about your congregation;if it was perfect, you wouldn't belong there.

 

If the congregation wants better elders,it only needs to pray for the ones it has.

 

Some minds are like concrete thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.

 

You can tell how strong a person is by what it takes to discourage him

 

.I don't know why some people change congregations; does it make a difference which one they stay home from?

 

We were called to be witnesses, not judges.

 

Be fishers of men,. You catch them - He'll clean them.

 

Don't put a question mark where God put a period.

 

Jehovah loves everyone, but he prefers' fruit of the spirit over a religious nut!

 

Forbidden fruits create many jams.

 

Jehovah doesn't call the qualified,He qualifies the called.

 

If God is your co-pilot, swap seats!

 

Don't give God instructions-- just report for duty!

 

The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind us.

 

We don't change the message,the message changes us.

 

 

 

 

 

A DIFFERENT CONGREGATION 

Through all my years as a Witness, the times past were not always good. 
Too many mistakes were being made, brothers not doing what they 
should. 
As I look back now, there are times, I recall, when I didn't look forward 
to going to the Hall. 
The brothers showed no love – They didn't seem to care. 
The elders were unyielding, demanding and unfair. 
Meetings were dull and boring. Field service was a chore. 
There was little "Pioneer Spirit," while going door to door. 
It didn't get any better, as I had hoped it would. 
I felt the day was coming, when I would leave Jehovah's house for good. 
But happily it's much different now. Jehovah has been so kind. 
He has allowed me, this wonderful congregation to find. 
The spirit is so strong here. The brothers really care. 
I couldn't be more happy, there's nothing better anywhere! 
Life in Jehovah's organization is just as I would dream, 
But don't get me wrong; things are not as they seem. 
You see, I'm part of the same congregation, attending the same Hall. 
I fellowship with the same brothers and sisters, the same body of 
elders all. 
No, the changes that were made are not as they might seem, 
For all the changes that were made, were changes made in ME. 
Now I do love the whole brotherhood – there's no other in the world to 
find. 
But instead of being critical, I try to be loving, forgiving, and kind. 
I realize we're all imperfect, it's plain now for me to see. 
While I was trying to put up with my brothers, they were putting up with 
me! 
We're all part of Jehovah's one flock, and that's where I want to be. 
If my brothers are good enough for Jehovah, Then they're good enough for 
Me!

Nicely put sis. I've been reflecting on a prose version of that. I see such a vast chasm between Jehovah's way and Satan's. Beginning with Eve he has been pushing "me first" "I deserve more/ better". But Jehovah's way is much better. Instead of workkng towards a position of Elder or MS and being criticle of their shortcomings. So much more is accomplished by recognizing their shortcomings and filling in the gaps so that they can be more effective by not being hindered. This way they can do more and be happy doing it. And it follows, the more they do, the less I have to. I guess it's another aspect of simplifying. Lol
