This is the subject of an interesting analysis of the situation. It appears that the "R2P" or "Responsibility to Protect" doctrine is gaining momentum and in danger of getting real teeth. What's interesting one of the people behind the movement, it is a name that turns up as financier or patron of some of the most radical and dangerous leftist organisations dedicated to destroying Capitalism and replacing it with a Socialist "dictatorship of the proletariat". These organisations think that government knows best and that it should regulate all aspects of life - control of the UN would allow such control over all nations especially if the doctrine of sovereignty is altered from self-rule to a "responsibility" to "protect" everyone by force if necessary. In the case of countries like the US and Australia that would mean forcing open borders to a flood of people claiming to be refugees.

I don't know about 2011 or what is going to happen in the rest of the year but if the end doesn't come this year, we are still awaiting the tribulation which is the sign the end is here and not just "near", it is going to be an interesting and painful few years to come.

I remember during Barack Obama's campaign for presidency, he did announce that he wants to work with U.N. to get peace and security since that is what the world needs to get back on it's feet. My dad and I saw and heard that and spit out our breakfast!!!! Ever since then, I started paying a lil closer attention to the news.

The end of this system of things is rapidly approaching. Never before have so many lives been at stake. We do not know how many more rightly disposed ones may yet respond to our message. But it is our responsibility to help such ones before it is too late.

As much as we jest about exciting times and eating popcorn. We have a responsibility to reach people. Lives are at stake!

We do not want to be blood guilty. There is over 7 billion people in the world. We need to Advertise, Advertise, Advertise,.. the King and his Kingdom!....May Jehovah Help us all!

Very good point! Tonight we just had our meeting and I just came to think about this with my wife and daughter, "never before have so many lives been at stake". It's amazing the scope of our commission we have, there are literally billions of lives at stake and how 'urgent' we should be at helping them come to an accurate knowledge among all this apostacy and filth out there right now. It's literally urgent for us to help these people and Jehovah will not let anyone stop us as a whole.

yes, the world scene is chaging so fast. here in portugl we are passing for some dificulties, but they are bearable. we know that the great tribulation will be rouf but our relation with Jehova is the only thing that nobody can take from us.
