Saudia Arabia to erect Kingdom Tower one mile high

When I saw this, I couldn't help but think of the tower of Babylon. We know how that project turned out! It'll be interesting to see if they ever even break ground. I'm not saying that Jehovah will prevent this skyscraper from being built, obviously the developers (to my knowledge) haven't made the same brazen claims that King Nebuchadnezzar made. But any major construction like this in the middle east is rather interesting to me.

It's kind of funny, back when Saddam Hussein attempted to rebuild Babylon and his many attempts kept failing. Jehovah wasn't kidding! When Jehovah meant that city wouldn't exist again he really meant it!

I still use that with Bible studies when we cover that chapter about the Bible is true and we go over Bible prophecy as one example - Chapter 2 I think. Babylon is still empty - look at what happened to Sadaam when he tried to rebuild it ;-(

yeah and the crazy thing is that the United States is attempting to help rebuild Babylon as an economic and tourism center to help the new Iraq prosper
