DNA and what they found

Recommended Posts

I love the show "Finding Your Roots" and particularly the last of this season because it talked much about DNA. They highlighted that all of us are the same, essentially, but with small differences that make us individual. Amazing that the host said that scientists and geneticists admit we all come from the same source!! Perhaps you'd like to see this season finale if you haven't already.

I hope this goes to your personal PBS station and not mine, I think it will:

Thanx, Cheryl. If it weren't for the PBS channels, I would sell my televison w/o blinking an eye. They do put questionable material on there channels sometimes, but all in all, great entertainment, and a lot of educational programs. Did I mention, I can recieve 3? Mobile,AL, Pensaclola,FL,  and one college station?  :D

DNA is so fascinating! My first husband had no idea who his father was, at the time I married him he didn't even know he had another father but me and my big mouth after looking at family photos couldn't understand the difference between him and his siblings and his dad. His mother had died when he was a child. He was tan, blue eyed and brown curly hair, his brothers were blue-eyed blondish, bald and very white.

After my oldest child was an adult and was away from the truth for a little while, she got a DNA test which proved she was a 1/4 black which meant that my other children were too. This gave my daughter a way to get scholarship so that she could go to go college and get a degree. She lives in an area where higher education is mostly mandatory and without the help of me and being in the truth at the time she went that direction. I am happy to say she is now serving Jehovah with her whole heart.

Back to the DNA, it is amazing what can be found out, I am glad that my daughter had the test done. We have since been in a situation where a newly sister who was brought up prejudiced against whites married into our family and we had a hard time getting her to believe that we loved her just for who she is. I won't go into any situations but since she found out that her in laws are part black it has helped with this scenario greatly but some things just take time in the truth for all of us, but it made this possible do to DNA and Jehovah's help, love and patience.
