Interesting quote - realistic or not?

Recommended Posts

Here is a partial quote from the newly released movie "Tomorrowland" by the character Nix.

While I personally think this movie has a dark side, and I'm not going to recommend it I did find this intriguing and think it is a reflection on how people in society today are deliberately distracting themselves either in the quest to find out what is going on, or to hide from what is going on, even when we try to give them a solid truth, they don't want it. In the meantime their full time distractions keep them from seeing major hints as to whether our truth is in fact the truth they are seeking all the while. See what you think:

"You've got simultaneous epidemics of obesity and starvation, explain that one. Bees, butterflies start to disappear, the glaciers melt, the algae blooms. All around you the coal mine canaries are dropping dead and you won't take the hint! In every moment theres possibility of a better future, but you people won't believe it. And because you won't believe it you won't do what is necessary to make it a reality."

Interesting yes?

Kind of made me think of going out in service. The chances of finding interested ones, is getting more difficult, day by day. Enough to make you want to just do letter writing, or phone work.
