Summer...beginning to not like it

Yep, as the title says I think I'm beginning to not like it! While I certainly don't hate it yet I really believe I'm developing an aversion for it. It just dawned on me today. It's just too hot!!!

Nooo, I definitely don't like winter either. Too cold. Spring? What's that? So far all I've seen is, starting in January, winter, summer and autumn. Ahhh autumn, . Now that's a season that's just beautiful. It's not hot nor cold. Perfect! I love it!

It's been about 60℉ here for most of the summer. Perfect!

 

As I sit here drinking my morning coffee it is 38℉.

Steven, 60 degrees I think is wonderful! The reason I think why I'm beginning to not like it is due to age accompanied by health issues. Just can't deal with it.

Yep, that's it. For let me clarify. Jehovah said, after the flood, that there will be seasons. Yep that's it! . Sooo, it's not the season in itself I don't like, it's the abnormalities that summer brings, at least here in NY: heat waves, stickiness, etc. Sheer misery. Jehovah is reasonable and ain't nuttin' reasonable about NYC summers.

That is just one benefit of mountain living. The average summer temperature here is 70, add to that a cool breeze and 300 days of sunshine and you have the perfect summer.

Plus, you get the entertainment value of all the tourists walking around in heavy sweaters and jackets in the summertime. It never fails to make me chuckle.

That reminds me of when I left NYC one December for Georgia for my daughter's wedding, lol. When she picked me up, and as we walked through the terminal to meet my sister I was dressed in a heavy coat, hat and boots, for it was cold in NYC with snow up to your head, lol. Everyone was dressed in, unbelievably, shorts, etc. I told my daughter "everyone can tell I'm from NYC."

I stayed with my sister and her husband. The next day we got up to get some last minute things for the wedding (food, etc) but first we sat out on the terrace. I was completely blown away! We just got up, didn't even take out night clothes off yet, and there I was sitting on a terrace with just a gown on, with my sister and brother-in-law with their night clothes on, in 70 degree weather! Talk about "culture" shock. Goodness!

Ok, now it was time to go. We got ready and I saw people walking around in shorts and tank tops...in air conditioned stores. Now that's also what I call a beautiful summer!
