Sea Trials - NZ Ferry.

Recommended Posts

My sister and her husband (jws) recently were invited by his brother-in-law to partake of a sea trial for the newly built Ferry, the Torea which once tested will be headed to Auckland.

Te Ake is a lovely chap as is his wife - very fond of them. Very skilled at what he does as well.

My brother-in-law Dave usually does motorvlogs as NZBeeker on Youtube, but this time he's done an hour long video of their test run. For those of you who like boating you will find this very interesting.

Q-West is a very well known boat building firm here in Wanganui (my hometown) building boats even for the Australian water patrols. They have a very good reputation and create some quite flash Ferries. This one is no exception. They had some wild pork going on in the 'cafe' part of the Ferry - we have some of that in our freezer too.

So thought this is a little different and it gives you a little view of Wanganui New Zealand.  Kapiti Island is a bird sanctuary ... very pretty. When Tom and I lived in Castlecliff, on a good day, we could see this island from our breakfast table. The river where they exit was also our view.

Anyway hope you enjoy.

Having probs putting in the link ... but if in youtube you type in NZBeeker its his second video currently. You should get it.
