Multi millionnaire worried a class war is coming in America

You probably don’t know Nick Hanauer, but he has more money than you. As a self-proclaimed “unapologetic capitalist,” Hanauer deals in millions the way many Americans deal in hundreds … or tens.

 

A few years ago, Hanauer called on his fellow one percenters to address America’s growing income inequality:

If we don’t do something to fix the glaring inequities in this economy, the pitchforks are going to come for us. No society can sustain this kind of rising inequality. In fact, there is no example in human history where wealth accumulated like this and the pitchforks didn’t eventually come out.

 

According to this watchtower article, he's right!  Rome, Greece, they all fell too.

Our public speaker last Sunday refereed to this very quote!  How so many people were struggling just  to put a roof over their heads and/or food on the table while others had sooooo much wealth it was obscene!  Everything in this system is so far off kilter!

And what's so interesting is that some of these obscenely wealthy people even want to be taxed higher and have more money get down into the hands of the poor, but they either don't trust the government to redistribute it or they're only willing to do it if they can first get all their other rich peers 'on board' with it. It reminds me of when the nations' leaders met in this last decade one time to decide what to do to address climate change--and this was in an Awake!--and after days of discussion, the only 'agreement' they could ratify was "there is a problem with regards the environment, and we are all now in agreement on this, but we haven't been able to agree on anything more since every leader has their own idea of what to do."

 

How useless the so called powerful and "in-control" ones of this system are!
