Too Many Coincidences

Not much to say here, but I was catching some news about a small plane crash at Tuxedo NY. Thought it might be some brothers sight seeing. I clicked on it and found the aircraft was a single place Starduster-100, a home built. Reading down the column I found the pilot to be someone I communicate with on Home Built Aircraft, Dana Hogue. HBA, the only other forum I participate on. We both had similar planes a similar time in life. Dana is from Connecticut. He was flying to Warrick. Hm-m-m, Tuxedo and Warrick in the same news item. I read the article but it didn't go into a whole lot of detail..

 

Aircraft didn't look too badly bunged up, it wasn't really visible in the picture..

 

Any one you can walk away from, right?..

It turned out he had a cabin near Warrick and was overflying it when an oil line broke. Nothing there coincidence or not.

Glad the pilot wasn't injured.
