England Dan & John Ford -  I'd Really Love to See You Tonight - 1976

Maybe you know this already but, England Dan, is Dan Seals. He done country music since then. But his brother is Seals,  in Seals and Croft. You can hear that similar sound. :headphones:

They had a few great songs. I think I posted one or two, I can’t remember.

I didn’t care for anything else they did....but this song was a gem. That Organ sound  was big in late sixties early seventies.

Great music....but I think he was high when he wrote the lyrics.

You’re right and this one Bill Haley was the first big commercial success. Black musicians got it started and the white musicians said; “Hey, that is great stuff”. And they introduced  it to white America.  Something like that, from what I’ve gathered. :coffee:

This was a great Elton John song, but not one of his better known songs.

Grey seal   I have no idea what it is about.

I forgot that song. I do like that song too. I think there was a few years in between those two hits, if I can recall.

When I was a kid we would have block parties. They’d put the big speakers outside and all the kids in the neighborhood would come to dance. I remember this song was very popular for dancing parties. You’ll see some of the dances we used to do. :lol1:

The Cowsills were a family full of musicians with great harmony. All except the father.
The old TV show ”The Patridge Family” was based on them. They had several good hits.
I had hair down past my shoulders back then so I can relate to this song.

We had a large get together at one of the friends house several years ago, outdoors, a few brothers played instruments, the older  brother who pulled the band together on a whim could play the sax very well, when they started playing this song "Shotgun" the young brother on the drums didn't know the beat  because he wasn't from the era and probably never heard it,  I knew it because I played my drums to it when I was a youth, It was my favorite go to jam, I wanted to ask if I could sit in and replay it, but didn't .  😎

I didn’t realize that I didn’t post anything yesterday until I turned out the lights and rest my head on the pillow... so I’m posting 2 songs to catch up 🙂
