Android Apps

Recommended Posts

I'm wanting to upgrade to an Android phone, but some of the reviews for the phone I am considering mention there is not much memory for apps. I want to know more about the apps. Where do you get them--the ones for the daily text, field service, and others? So they take a lot of memory? Will the apps work on any phone or just on certain ones, like the iphone?

I'm really new to this, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. :)

I have an android phone, a Motorola Droid X from Verizon, and I absolutely love it. It's already rather deprecated as there are newer and better phones available now.

Whatever you heard about memory is likely false. Most phones have at least 8 GB of internal storage, which is plenty, plus another 8 GB or more on an SD Card, which you can always replace with an SD Card with even more memory at any time.

My phone is loaded, and I have no issues.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S... I love it, I had the Galaxy Ace for about a month however it started to freeze etc and so they changed it for me... no problems so far on this phone. I use the phone for so much both for listening to talks, magazines, Bible reading etc...

I'm sure there are lots of things the phone is capable off that I have no idea about 8-)

The first thing I would do is get a free file manager app from the Android market, that will let you move apps and files to and from your computer as well as create folders on your SD card to help keep organized.I like "EStrongs file explorer".

Then go hear and download "JW Reader" it is a great "Theocratic" app!

You probably need to download it with your computer first and then move it to the phone using the USB cable or the SD card. But, you may be able to download it directly to your phone and then find it in the download folder of the SD card with the file manager app.
