whats the difference between

Recommended Posts

What my question was is, Why did some people get deactivated upon request (and end up as "Deactivated User") instead of leaving the other way (and getting 'This user voluntarily no longer participates here')?

The old system would say 'deactivated user' for all. The new system only says 'deactivated user' for those who were forcefully expelled from the forums. Those who leave voluntarily state so. We dont deactivate or delete accounts on request anymore. If I have to deactivate a user manually, it is because they forced my hand.

Okay. By the way, I don't know how that winking smiley snuck in there.

EDIT: That's weird. If you put a quote mark before a closing parentheses like this: ") the closing parentheses only converts into that smiley. But by itself it doesn't. Oh well, never mind. :shrugs:

Yes that is annoying. I always have to edit my post and insert a space between the 2.

I've reported that bug several times to the authors. It's not high on their priority list but hopefull will be fixed soon. A major release is in the works.
