Saturday, June 16

[God’s] invisible qualities are clearly seen . . . They are perceived by the things made.—Rom. 1:20.

“To perceive” means to recognize something that may not be immediately visible or obvious. (Heb. 11:3) Perceptive people, therefore, use their mind, not just their eyes and ears. Jehovah’s organization has supplied many well-researched aids to help us. These can enable us ‘to see’ our Creator through our eyes of faith. (Heb. 11:27) These aids include the video The Wonders of Creation Reveal God’s Glory, the brochures Was Life Created? and The Origin of Life—Five Questions Worth Asking, and the book Is There a Creator Who Cares About You? Awake! has often presented interviews with scientists and others who have explained why they now believe in God. The series of articles called “Was It Designed?” has highlighted examples of the amazing design that we see in nature. Scientists often strive to imitate those wonderful designs. w16.09 4:4, 5

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Its interesting that Rom 1:20 refers to Gods "invisible qualities are clearly seen". Paul referred to qualities rather than Jehovah's power, love, justice and wisdom specifically.

Satan has limited power, justifies his own course, wisely plots his own agenda and loves himself, as do the demons. Their qualities are used in a far different way from those of Jehovah. The current world shows visibly their qualities.

It takes perception and meditation on creation itself, along with biblical knowledge to equate Jehovah's qualities with His cardinal attributes, and then have that knowledge draw us toward pleasing and loving our Creator.

Just my thoughts....

Nice post Brother Joel.

We walk past trees, flowers, insects, birds all the time, but are so unaware of the communication between them, the colonies that exist within them.

Take the wild tobacco plant for instance, and this blows me away ... the Hawk Moth caterpillar lays its eggs on the stalk of the wild tobacco ... now this is initially a symbionic relationship as the Hawk Moth fertilizes the tobacco plant at night. But when the plant need to invite the hummingbird to fertilize it by day ... it changes the timing of when the flower opens, even the shape of the flower becomes more trumpet like, and the scent changes, but in the meantime the tobacco plant starts to emit a scent to allure insects that eat the caterpillar eggs which saves the plant from being sucked dry.

All this is going on beneath our noses and for the most part we don't even notice. No wonderJehovah tells us to go and study it ... there's no way evolution could even touch that artistry.

<p>"Jehovah chooses to either 'reveal' or 'conceal' - cherish what he reveals and be patient with what he conceals."

Paul notes that God's qualities can be seen "from the world's creation onward." Paul is saying that from the moment we were created, we can see evidence of Jehovah's qualities in the things he made. The evidence is all around us. May we take time to enjoy Jehovah's creation and also to thank him daily for all he has given us.
