:)-DLet's make a date! Mark your calenders Now!

Recommended Posts

I was just thinking how we look forward to outtings, fuctions, spending times with the friends. I attended one congregation in LA who had a standing date every year on presidents day weekend to meet at Big Bear. Since the date changed every year they would just use that secular date because many of them had that Monday off (government jobs--postal workers, etc) It was a cabin that had a huge upstairs with nothing but bunk beds (it actually looked like a train with bed compartments built into the walls. Three bathrooms upstairs and two bathrooms downstairs. The men would fix the supper and the women wuld fix breakfast. Everyone ate lunch out or were responsible for their own. There would be sledding, skiing, snowboarding etc during the day and cards in the evening. On Saturday night we would study our WT together as a group and Sunday we would attend the local KH. It felt like a hgh family reunion.

Why don't we mark our calenders for January 10th 2112 (of curse the month may not be January in the new system) and plan on meeting at ________________________.

You fill in what you want to do and where we should meet Then let's plan it. Something to look forward too, huh?
