Ennio Morricone is one of the most prolific of the modern Italian composers. He has composed for many films, but is a respected composer and director of his own merit. This is a piece called “Gabriel’s Oboe”, composed for the 1986 film “The Mission”, here performed by Henrik Chaim Goldsmith, principal oboist of the Royal Danish Orchestra, Copenhagen, Denmark. Here he is performing with the Faroese Islands Philharmonic Orchestra.
