Pets of Well-known Personalities

Recommended Posts

Acknowledging the part pets play in the lives of our underpaid and overworked JWtalk Team (Forum Owner, Administrators and Moderators) who worked hard to keep the sheep entertained and well-fed.

:notworthy:

Oh, you could include the pets of worldly celebrities, if you like.

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

The Topic should have been ' Pets of Well known Individuals' (Wasn't fast enough to make an edit) We don't want to trouble the mods for trivial matters, do we? It was one of the Paws' fault. It was their turn to shine in the limelight. Drum rolls.Image result for Drum rolls emoji

PLEASE wait for the Team members to send in their posts first before posting about worldly celebrities. Thank you for your understanding.

Note to @TortugaIf you're shy,  you could crawl into one of the other topics in this forum

Looks like our esteemed staff is moving at turtle pace, away from this place. Oh well, we'll have some fun with some less well-known pets while we wait.

Tongdaeng was a female copper-colored Basenji dog and one of the pets owned by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The king adopted Tongdaeng  from the litter of a stray dog that had been taken in by a medical centre he had recently dedicated. Her name means "copper" in Thai.

Bhumibol called her "A common dog who is uncommon", and in 2002 wrote an affectionate biography of her titled "The Story of Tongdaeng  In it, the King wrote that "Tongdaeng is a respectful dog with proper manners; she is humble and knows protocol. She would always sit lower than the King; even when he pulls her up to embrace her, Tongdaeng would lower herself down on the floor, her ears in a respectful drooping position, as if she would say, 'I don't dare

A cat steals the spotlight.

Larry the Downing Street cat was spotted underneath “the Beast,” the president’s armored car, outside the prime minister's residence in London on Tuesday (4.6.2019)

A Cat Steals the Spotlight

The Downing Street website describes Larry's duties as "greeting guests to the house, inspecting security defences, and testing antique furniture for napping quality". It says he is "contemplating a solution to the mouse occupancy of the house" and has told Downing Street that such a solution is still in the "tactical planning stage".

Unlike his predecessors since 1929, Larry's upkeep is funded by the staff of 10 Downing Street. Fund-raising events to pay for his food are believed to have included a quiz night for Downing Street staff held in the staterooms
