Very interesting, as he was a 'co-founder' of the theory of evolution by natural selection, but came to realise that a MIND had to be behind all life, and the universe!

nice video...nicely explained... he detected design...and was grounded in science and not theist ideas...

I liked these points...as the central principle of natural selection is utility...(the attributes needed for advantage in the natural world)...why

intellect of man,music,wit,art,abstract thinking...mathematics?...

Yes, a lot of good points made in this video.

The way it refutes the 'intelligent design = creationist' argument is significant, to me. One of the arguments used for banning ID being taught in schools is that it is creationism in disguise. Recently this has been used by the British Government (under some lobbying from the Humanist group) in their rules for academies and free schools. (http://www.humanism.org.uk/news/view/961).

Russel's views show a scientific basis for ID.
