I've only lived here about twelve years, so that makes me 10  generations away from being a native. There is a resort type area in these parts named Nevele. The legend goes that a double digit number or persons originally invested in developing this spot, but were at loggerheads as to the name of this distinctive geo area. Eventually, one of the group of eleven suggested spelling Eleven back wards and they settled on "Nevele." This reminds me of a boarding house rental area back in Maine called The Argunot. Similarly, a number of purchasers got into a heavy debate about the Title of the housing complex. After unsuccessful rounds of debate, one of the group said. "Let's not argue," and another investor said, "that's it, argue, not, " and so the Argunot came to become a popularly recognized regional spot.

What got me thinking about this is: true confession, I have been having a weighty problem. Last year, I was significantly underweight.  Usually, a low carber, I was instructed by my med team to up the intake. And they overfed me in my hospital stay and counted my food intake, For me,that's like cutting the string on a bail of hay, and along with their instrux,  I quickly overshot the weight gain goal.  In addition, I have been prescribed a med that has contributed to a pound a day weight gain.

Dismayed, at my last week's Doc appt with weigh in, I told my primary that I am going back to low carbing it. She said that both she and I have to practice starvation to have a healthy BMI. So, yesterday, I was able to button a size 12 jean that were tight last week. Today, I squeezed into a size eleven using the 1978 trick of lying down to zip up. Thankfully, I didn't need a pair of pliers. I have another pair of Jeans size 11/12 that is a bit looser than today's execution. They may still be packed away with winter stuff. At least I feel that my goal is progressing. Husb says, "So, you do what you always do. Diet until you get underweight. Then you try to balance out and overdo it, Then you tighten up on your diet and get your weight back down again."  My response: "That's every American woman." At least that is my impression. Do all of us remember how each of our clothing items fits given weight fluctuations and have inspiration jeans for when tapering down (again)? I have single digit (American) sizes in my closet. Maybe I'll be back into them soon. Is this syndrome common, or just a feature of math- heads. Y (eniluap)S
