9 years and still going strong!

Thank you Gloria. I've got the reservations made for a table at a posh restaurant where we will dine on some ritzy food. I just got home from work and will be leaving to go pick up her gifts :-)

What's ya get her?

Dinner.

Oh... some jewelry, a book, and a DVD. We're pretty modest on the gifts, but we are planning big for our 10 year.

Shopping for the jewelry was a hoot. I would state up front that I was looking for something modest. They would then start showing me jewelry that was several hundred dollars. I would say "My wife would kill me if I spent this much on jewelry." And then even after showing me lower cost options, they would still gravitate towards the higher stuff. Stupid saleswomen!

Not so stupid....they get paid on comission and were hoping you were lying. I"m like Crystal...only different. I dont like to wear jewlery at all...except earrings. When I get married again, I don't even want an engagement ring. Rings get on my nerves!!!! I know I'll have to get used to wearing a wedding ring but I don't want to have to deal with TWO rings!!!

So every anniversary I will be a cheap date....of course I would prefer some exotic vacation, so maybe not so cheap!
