Wednesday, February 19 ~ Keep in expectation of it! For it will without fail come true.—Hab. 2:3.

Keep in expectation of it! For it will without fail come true.—Hab. 2:3.

Jehovah assured Habakkuk that he would receive answers to his sincere questions. Relief for all his worries would come before too long. God, in effect, told the prophet: “Be patient, trust in me. My answer will come despite the apparent delay!” Jehovah reminded him that He had an appointed time for fulfilling His promises. He counseled Habakkuk to wait for the accomplishment of His purposes. Ultimately, the prophet would not be disappointed. Patiently waiting on Jehovah and paying close attention to what he tells us will give us confidence and will help us to acquire a calm heart despite adversities and hardships. Jesus confirmed that we can trust in Jehovah as the Great Timekeeper, not focusing on “times or seasons” that God has not yet revealed. (Acts 1:7) Therefore, may we not give up but wait in humility, faith, and patience, making good use of the time we have to serve Jehovah to the best of our abilities.—Mark 13:35-37; Gal. 6:9. w18.11 16 ¶13-14

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Really enjoyed the day's text.  The scripture in its entirety is amazing:

For the vision is yet for its appointed time,

And it is rushing toward its end, and it will not lie.

Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it!

For it will without fail come true.

It will not be late!   —Hab. 2:3.

What an awesome watchtower study article too.  Jehovah has set a date, and it is coming.  The question is - what are we doing today?  And what are we doing to prepare for it?

What encouraging remarks!

Here's from Branch Morning Worship :

"Keep in expectation." But Prov 13:12... so are we to blame Jehovah for making us sick?
No our mindset will determine if we have the proper view. Lu 24 two disciples were downhearted because of what had happened and didn't happened. They had expectations that were postponed.

Some serving for decades have thought that the new system would come long ago. It's understandable that expectation postponed would cause some concern and sadness.

Those two disciples regained joy when they saw what was happening right then. Their entire outlook changed when they saw that Jesus had been raised.

Lesson? Look at what Jehovah is doing.
Don't concentrate on what Jehovah hasn't done, look at what he is doing. Such as?

302,000 baptized in one yr! At no time in human history have there been over 8 million serving Jehovah in so many lands! In spite of disaster, disease, persecution. Jehovah's people are being taken care of spiritually and physically.

Eg PR is still reeling from hurricane and now earthquakes! 22,591 publishers in 2019 service yr. 23,124 in November even tho 5,000 left the island! Jehovah's spirit has activated his people. Increases in hours and Bible studies. That's what Jehovah is doing right now.
A CO was organizing groups on the Saturday of the 5.2 earthquake. Many crying and scared. 112 showed up for service! A brother said a man in territory said, "after the earthquake this morning I knew for sure that Jehovah's witnesses would visit us "

Also think about the spiritual tools Jehovah supplies. Library, videos, satellite connections in subsahara Africa! Ps 40:5

Keeping in expectation means take action, not sit and pine for what hasn't happened. Make progress, set goals, develop flexibility and patience toward the org. If org says move, move! Cultivate contentment and cooperation.

Prov 10:28 expectation of righteous brings joy, because of what Jehovah is doing today and what we are privileged to be doing.
