Seems that Russia & the US are holding up any ceasefire agreement as they only want it on their terms 

 

However Macron is hopeful his intervention will resolve the situation:

 

"Macron said he was hopeful Putin would also come onboard, and that a video summit of the five permanent members of the security council would be held to announce their agreement."

I watched part of the global citizen initiative last night and couldn't help but ponder over the fact that this situation -- the virus, economic fallout, everyone globally staying at home -- has started bringing together all humans with a common cause, for the first time since post-world war years ... and yet, nations are still fighting against each other via proxy wars.

 

It's sort of like an asteroid is hurling towards earth.  Everyone sees it coming, they don't know when it'll hit, but they know it's going to impact all mankind.  Even still.. petty humans are throwing sticks and stones at each other.  What a ridiculous system of things we live in.  It has to go!!
