I found this From Wikipedia

The Crystal Cathedral is a Christian church building in Garden Grove, Orange County, California, United States. The building, designed by architect Philip Johnson, was completed in 1981 and seats 2,736 people.[1]

Since its construction the building has been the principal place of worship for Crystal Cathedral Ministries, a Protestant Christian church organization founded in 1955 by Robert H. Schuller and affiliated with the Reformed Church in America. Crystal Cathedral Ministries filed for bankruptcy in October 2010 and subsequently, in February 2012, sold the building and its adjacent campus to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange for future use as the diocese's cathedral. Under the terms of the sale the building and most of the campus will continue to be used by Crystal Cathedral Ministries for up to three years before being renovated for use as a Roman Catholic cathedral.

The fact that there Leader walked away is the part I was leaning towards at the lost sheep of that church, as the part of the fall of Babylon the great.

despite the very public exit of founder Robert H. Schuller.

some interesting things on the Crystal Cathedral

I have had the unfortunate disadvantage of having gone there a few times in my younger days. In each pane of glass is etched someones name and how much they "contributed" towars the church. In the basement of one good size section is/was a huge arcade for the kids to go to after sunday school to play while they wait for the parents to get out of normal services. When they had their glory of services they made a good 30 plus dollars a ticket at several shows per season. So where did the money go? LOL

There was a comic once that showed the building and the text let he that is without sin cast the first stone and large stones being hurled through the heavens toward glass panes. Love that comic strip

the catholic church bought the building so now their relocating, they stated that it doesn't matter where you worship but how, really, because all the money they put into the building and yet did not allow the ones that did not give the most money could not even go there.
