This is to discuss building materials per se.

 

My favorite by far is : Natural stone !

 

I always express my love for this material in all the other topics. This article has nice examples of this material.

 

 

I love modern houses, but it's always better when they have natural stones. It gives strength and a feeling of durability and history to a house.

It's warmer than brutalist concrete block (I hate that )

I totally agree.  I have seen some homes in Greece that are mostly built with stone.  I love the mediterranean feeling and look of it. 

 

Stone and wood are my favorite materials to build a home.

 

It makes it feel natural or, you are one with nature.  Very comforting.

I must have Greek blood in me.  I like the stone house and wood.  I love the Greek homes.  When I look at them I feel like I belong there.  Its a feeling of "coming home".
