Each one will carry his own load.—Gal. 6:5.

 

If the government where you live bans our worship, you may wonder if you should move to a country where you can serve Jehovah freely. This is a personal decision that no one else can make for you. Some might find it helpful to consider what Christians in the first century did when they were persecuted. The disciples in Jerusalem moved throughout Judea and Samaria and even as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch. (Matt. 10:23; Acts 8:1; 11:19) However, after another wave of persecution afflicted the first-century Christians, the apostle Paul decided not to move away from areas where the preaching work was opposed. (Acts 14:19-23) What do we learn from these accounts? Each family head must make a personal decision about moving. Before deciding, he should prayerfully and carefully consider his family’s circumstances and the positive and negative effects a move might have on them. We should not judge others for the decision that they make. w19.07 10 ¶8-9

# Before we move away to safer areas when persecuted, we must also remember that our brothers are facing the same problem & they need us & our encouragement too. So considering their well-being is also important than our comfort. 
# we can’t expect brothers to care for our needs in a foreign land but it’s good to rethink about Jesus’s words of ‘calculating the expenses’ before embarking on a big project. Moving from your country is a big decision, so prayer & good research will help us to see other hidden dangers/ challenges we might not be aware of. 
It might also help us see that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one & that there’s no guarantee in this world. The best is yet to come, where all creation will be free from enslavement of any corruption.

Jehovah has endowed each one of us with free will to choose things for ourselves. No one can tell you what to do, but your decisions must be clearly thought out. Try to reason out the outcomes of each course and then realize you own it, for good or for bad.
