My son has severe food allergies. He is almost 3 and is allergic to milk, soy, eggs, and peanuts. The egg and peanut allergies are his worst, they could kill him, we carry epi-pens everywhere we go. With that being said, does anyone else here suffer from bad food allergies, do you have any suggestions? Or does anyone have any good recipes a child may like that don't have any of these ingredients in it?

Hi Chanel sorry for your son.

Im allergic to eggs, can't eat too much peanuts,

one time for a C'o who couldn't have sugar and had a few allergies too we had to cook for him and his wife for a dessert

i made cake from my nanas recipe book

Half a cup of dates or sultanas or you can add banana or carob buds instead of choc drops.

grated apple

replace the sugar with halp cup of apple juice. pure apple juice

1/4 oil and you can buy well here in oz a product called egglike its a powder form. made from tapiocca powder

and use about a teaspoon and put 1and halp cup self raising flour or a flour you can use from the health shop

and you soak the dates in tepid water and then combine all together and you can put mixure in cupcakes

and bake for about 1hr.

can you use rice milk instead? or coconut milk? or is he totally allergic to every other nut too? alot of dried fruits have sulphur

which i got to avoid. but in health shops. Do you have a woolworths shopping market? I have bought in the Macro brand sulphur

free dried fruits mixed with pears and nectarines. another product I have used and my kids like is quinoa its like barley except

its not made from wheat. when I make soups I use quinoa instead to do a gravy beef soup

onion, chop beef. a handful of quinoa, with chopped celery salt and pepper. My kids eat that. let me know please if this is any good

agape

It also came to my mind An Italian treat and is milk free Granita's I just looked on line you can get some recipes and how to do them

they are like shaved ice but a similar process to making Ice creams.

and i was thinking that if you like asian foods substitute the toasted nuts for toasted sesame seeds when your son is old enough too eat them

and substitute the peanut oil for sesame oil which gives food the nutty taste... I have been thinking other Ideas I have done but not for a while

nut free and milk and soy. Have many friends including my sister inlaw she's just about allergic to everything...agape`

Wow thanks for all the tips! Yes he drinks Almond milk and Cocunut milk regularly. He did drink rice milk but I had his hair tested to see if he had any difficiancies and it came back that he has a high level of arsnic in his system. So now no more rice or rice milk (rice in limited amounts). We love quinoa but I never put it in soup, will have to try that. Granita'a sort of sounds like sorbet, that's his special treat, we get him sorbet instead of ice cream. He LOVES hummus, I think there is Tahani in that but I've never actually made it myself, only bought the premade stuff. I have never used or cooked with Tahani so I'm going to look into that, good idea. His diet is mainly Grilled meats and steamed veggies or raw and fresh fruits. He has the healthiest diet but not a lot of variety.

I have never done any Asian meals because I haven't figured out a substitute for soy sauce and have yet o find one that doesn't have soy sauce. He isn't allergic to tree nuts, just peanuts. It makes him swell up all over, so does egg. I found I can use tapioca or a gellitan packet and 2 tbs of water to substitute an egg, so that with coconut milk I can now make him pancakes. He is happy about that.
