Dog House Project.

With our dogs getting older (11+ years old) where one of them (May - short for Mayhem) has been living in a mobile chook pen that I had built before they arrived, and the other (Missy - short for Mischief) had a insulated doghouse that I built for her. It was time for May to have a her insulated doghouse of her own, now that she is getting older and feeling the cold.

So here is a progressive picture outline of how May's doghouse progressed. I purchased some timber for the frame and flooring, wheels and axles so I can move it around, and the steel trimming sections which I had to fold some sections myself. But most things are either recycled or left over from other projects, such as the plywood, cladding, insulation, paint and screws and stuff.

Firstly we start of with some timber sticks and cut and created the various joints for it to be assembled together.

Main frame assembled and roof lining installed and timber lips to hold the flooring.

Side and rear panels and opening panels added and entire frame inside and out painted and fitted glass wool insulation added getting ready to lined using reclaimed zincalume trimdeck sheeting.

Sheeting applied to roof and sides, and painted with SilverGal protective paint to make it look pretty.

I have installed some a couple layers of recycled carpet off-cuts to the floor inside the kennel and moved the kennel into position.

Now just to get a picture of May using it.
