A good book

Hello I'm looking for a good book on history or any sort of novels for someone who reads Spanish, any suggestions ?

I read books, currently looking into getting Agatha Christie books.

 

Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE was an English writer known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple

 

The problem is that, I have never read her books (Watched the movies based on her books though) and have dilemma where to start? 

I am sure they print them in Spanish also.

Yes Amazon has Spanish Agatha Christie books.

I was looking for James Herriot in Spanish but couldn't find them.

I was looking for a present for a male friend who likes to read.

Not all is always available in other languages, sometimes we have to settle on what is actually available for purchase.

Does it have to be paper edition? what about Apple Store (books) or kindle? 

For a vivid reader there is a lot of options. 

I buy electronic versions on Apple, prices are reasonable and selection is more than I need.  (I think there is more than 2 million books available)
