Mask mandates are back in the news. "As we previously reported, a new covid variant has health officials calling for people to start wearing masks again. The Daily Mail recently spoke with a health expert and we’re told that the new variant, BA. 6 is “probably” already in the United States. The new variant has only been detected in Israel and Denmark but health officials predict that the variant will make its way in America “very soon.” Dr Thomas Moore, an infectious diseases expert at the University of Kansas, spoke with DailyMail.com and said, “I’m sure it is already here. We have a few in our Hall who have continued to wear masks to the meetings.  We try to be proactive in our health care rather than reactive.  We are diligent about washing our hands, covering our cough and staying home when not feeling well. We are scheduled to get our flu shot the first week in September. We will also be getting the Covid-19 booster when available in our area.  The store had a poll with it, that asked "Do you think we'll ever be able to eradicate the COVID pandemic?"- 76% said no, 7% yes, 12% maybe and 5% no comment.
