I've never found the need to go with another "location search" app. Google maps/navigation has always found everything I've searched for and directed me right to it.

I use Latitude with hubby but we don't add anyone else. Hubby works doing window cleaning in semi-rural properties and suburbs where the householder is seldom home. He checks in so if he has any kind of ladder accident or dog attack . . we can find him before sunset.

We have seen kids at the shopping center spying on each other and playing foolhardy tricks . . I feel so sorry for parents raising teens today . .

A few businesses near me use Foursquare to offer incentives to loyal customers. There is one burger place that gives the Foursquare mayor $3 off of dinner. I managed to get mayorship there for almost a month.

Other places offer smaller incentives for just having x number of check-ins.

Okay, so this app is essentially a combination of ____ maps and "checking in", then?

Boring! Google Plus and icky Facebook are enough for me.
