“Holy Bible—Easy-to-Read Version.”

Wondering - Today's text (May 24th) is noted as being from the “Holy Bible—Easy-to-Read Version.” 

 

I may have missed it but I dont remember seeing that before.  I have looked but cant find it - could someone please point me to that book - the Easy to Read Version?

It has some interesting texts for comparative analysis, but the main bias is toward the trinity, as usual. It is a paraphrase/dynamic equivalent version of the bible, by the Bible League International.

Occasionally we quote from another translation when its wording conveys better the idea we are trying to highlight.

I thought I had downloaded the wrong bible.  I looked at the other daily scriptures and they looked normal to me so, I left it to maybe they wanted us to read in that bible.

I used to have several bible students who were born deaf. Many of the deaf use this version as the English is simple....and their primary language is sign language.... not exact English. 

Of course now we have the video version in ASL,.... so much better.
