The most religious - and religiously diverse - places in America

This week, the Washington Post's Department of Data mined the U.S. Religious Census, a decennial count of America’s faithful, for insights into the geography of religious devotion. They also compared people’s claims on church attendance to their actual behavior.

Reminder that this 2014 statistics showed that we are the best in all categories :D

We even outperform the Buddhists about "Meditation" :D

It says 90% of JW's believe in God, I would have guessed it might be slightly higher.  😅    Maybe inactive or ex-JW's surveyed threw the numbers off?

Yeah. I'd say a good 10% are just students

Yeah, I looked at some of the other responses and comparisons as there is a link to compare among religious groups.  Among views of homosexuality, the survey shows that 18% agree that we should accept homosexuality.

I believe in many of the different topics listed in the survey, if the questions were asked of an active, spiritually mature witnesses, the contrasts of what we believe to other religion's viewpoints on matters would be an even greater.   Numbers were skewed somehow by various unknown factors in the survey.   We know what we are taught from the bible and what we believe in.    If some of those numbers in the categories were truly accurate, we would all be greatly concerned.  🤔

Approximately 35,000 people were surveyed.  In reality, the # of witnesses surveyed was fairly low.

FWIW the question as asked was: "Now I’m going to read you a few pairs of statements. For each pair, tell me whether the FIRST statement or the SECOND statement comes closer to your own views — even if neither is exactly right. The first pair is:"

"A - Homosexuality should be accepted by society"
                        OR
"B - Homosexuality should be discouraged by society"
