CHOCOLATE Seameal Custard

Recommended Posts

Okay this thread is Dusty's fault... indirectly ... was reading one of his posts on his favourite subject and I started craving chocolate seameal custard.

What is that you ask?

Just as the name suggests ... it's chocolate custard made with seaweed. (You can get vanilla too).

It wasn't like ordinary custard ... texture was different like a firm panacotta... the spoon just glided through the shiny custard ... it's taste was unique there were levels of flavors... my Dad used to make it and serve it with peaches or pears. This simple dessert was my all time favourite.  And it had some good nutrients too!

Now, here's my problem... it was made in NZ by a company called Gregg's, and they no longer make it. I can't find it anywhere!!

Do any of you all over our wonderful world have something that may be similar??? I'd be very interested.
