Centennial Celebration in Ghana

 

Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ghana have commenced a two-day event celebrating 100 years of their activities in the country. The event, themed “Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ghana—100 Years of Faith in Action, Positively Impacting Communities at the Very Core,” began on November 8, 2024, at their headquarters on the Nungua-Tema Beach Road. The celebration includes tours of their facilities and highlights their contributions to the Ghanaian community over the past century. (Ghana Business News)

WOW !    I worked on this branch in 1986 - 87.   I remember putting the linoleum flooring in the residence rooms, and the "indoor/outdoor" needlebond carpet in the offices.

 

See the small bridge across the pond at 1:18.  That was built by a German brother back then.

 

I was shuttled back and forth between Ghana and Nigeria as the visa would need to be renewed.  Nigeria branch has doubled in size since then.
