The funniest thing in this article is the comments. Atheists can't stand the fact that they don't have a reason to be moral, they say that they are, but they don't have a reason to be, especially if they are not caught being immoral. This is a major flaw in the philosophy. Humans need God to provide an accountability to morality. Atheists can't stand that fact, and will deny it vehemently, but they can't disprove it. There are times when being moral does not have an immediate advantage, but it is still the right thing to do. Look at Jesus. Look at Moses. For that matter, look at Abel.

Absolutely! In fact, this is a great area to question your friendly neighborhood atheist (in a tactful manner). Very few atheists will doubt the need for morals, some standard of civility, yet they cannot ever really answer why this is necessary in a purpose-less world and exactly on what grounds these standards should be founded. Even atheists have been made in God's image, so they are born with that natural sense of justice that inclines them to recognize this.

I've seen some atheist philosophers attempt to explain a need for morality based upon some Darwinistic model for survival, but it's always easy to pick apart because it's based upon man's short-sighted standards. Today's atheists like to think of themselves as more evolved, rational and not blinded by fictitious fables. But really, they've fallen for the same lie Eve did. They believe that they can establish their own standards of right and wrong and be happy. This is impossible for any human to do.

Just stop it.Romans 12:2
