Friday, April 11

It is not possible for the blood of bulls and of goats to take sins away.—Heb. 10:4.

Outside the entrance of the ancient tabernacle was a copper altar on which animal sacrifices were offered to Jehovah. (Ex. 27:1, 2; 40:29) However, those sacrifices could not provide complete forgiveness of sins for the people. (Heb. 10:1-3) The continual sacrifices of animals at the tabernacle pointed to the one sacrifice that would fully redeem humankind. Jesus knew that Jehovah had sent him to the earth to offer his human life as a ransom sacrifice for mankind. (Matt. 20:28) Hence, at his baptism, Jesus presented himself to do what Jehovah wanted. (John 6:38; Gal. 1:4) Jesus’ life was offered “once for all time” to atone for, or cover permanently, the sins of everyone who exercises faith in Christ.—Heb. 10:5-7, 10. w23.10 26-27 ¶10-11

Memorial Bible reading: (Daytime events: Nisan 12) Luke 22:1-6; Mark 14:1, 2, 10, 11

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

How beautifully Hebrews 10 : 1 explains everything . Enjoyed today's text.

The memorial reading brought this points...

We see how satan entered Judas and after that how Judas is going all the way to meet the high priest to betray Jesus.

On the way to the high priest

he had no fear of Jah...

No bothering conscience...

Just determined to Sin.

Lesson for us ...

If we allow satan into us we will be showing the same attitude.

Animal flesh and blood could never provide a complete forgiving of our sins. Since a perfect human had sinned, it had to be counterbalanced with another perfect human willing to pay the ultimate price that should have been borne by us, Adam’s sinful descendants, as Jehovah cannot simply ignore his own standards for the sake of sentimentality.

A life had to be for a life, hence Jesus gave up his life once and for all in order so that we could eventually become reconciled to God.

The fact that Jehovah came up with this immediately after the sin in Eden also shows that He is always in control at all times; and absolutely NOTHING can ever thwart his purpose.

Jesus plays the key role in the outworking of God’s purposes, which is a main reason why we honor him the Memorial each year, until he comes.

Leviticus 19:18: “‘You must not take vengeance nor hold a grudge against the sons of your people, and you must love your fellow man as yourself.”
